Establishment of 24/7 District Emergency and Operation Center (DEOC) / Control Room
District Administration Layyah under the supervision of SMBR has established a state-of-the-art District Emergency and Operation Center (DEOC) / Control Room in Deputy Commissioner Office Layyah. It is equipped with Media Watch, Video Wall, Computers, telephone line, and furniture for security monitoring especially during Flood, Muharram, Chehlum, Eid Days etc.
Gymkhana Layyah
Deputy Commissioner Layyah Inaugurated Gymkhana Layyah at state land of 113 Kanal near office of District Health Authority Layyah for enjoyment and entertainment of Officers and General Public of District Layyah.
Health Surveillance Mechanism
The Deputy Commissioner has taken keen interest in the Health Department to revamp its traditional and torpid service delivery. Health Surveillance Team of officers comprising Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Assistant Commissioners and officers of Health Department, has been entrusted tasks to visit the health facilities (DHQ, THQ, RHC and BHU) on regular basis. The visiting officer is required to fill detailed proforma highlighting existing deficiencies, availability of staff, provision of medicines, and action taken on the previous decisions (if any). The data, so gathered, is discussed in meetings and necessary directions are issued promptly.
