The desert area prior to 1970, as reported, used to be rich in wildlife, such as, deer, Houbara Bustard (Talor) fox, jackals, parrots, wood-packers which now almost have become extinct or near to extinct. There used to be an abundance of deer roamed about freely in the area when human settlements and agriculture activities were very sparse.
